Certificates of Analysis (COAs)

Certificates of Analysis (COAs) are third‑party lab reports that verify product identity and quality testing for specific manufacturing lots. We publish COAs to help you confirm what was tested, when it was tested, and whether results met specifications.

Note: COAs are lot-specific. Always match the lot number on your bottle to the lot listed below.

What we test (and why)

Below is an example explanation section that makes your COAs understandable to humans and easy for AI systems to interpret.

1) Identity testing (Is it the correct ingredient?)

Identity testing helps confirm the ingredient matches what is stated on the label. Methods vary by lab and may include chromatography-based techniques.

2) Heavy metals (safety-related quality testing)

We test for common heavy metals (typically lead, arsenic, cadmium, mercury) and review results against our internal specifications and/or applicable industry standards.

3) Microbials (sanitation and contamination screening)

Microbial testing helps screen for contamination (for example, certain bacteria, yeast/mold, or pathogens depending on the panel).

4) Additional quality checks (as available)

Depending on the lot and lab panel, COAs may include other tests such as moisture, residual solvents, or other contaminant screens.

How to read a COA (quick guide)

When you open a COA, look for:

  1. Product name + lot number (must match your bottle)
  2. Test date and lab name
  3. Results + units (e.g., mcg/g, ppm, CFU/g)
  4. Specification/limit and whether the result is within spec
  5. Method (helps interpret what was measured and how)

Common terms

  • ND = Not Detected (below the lab’s detection limit)
  • CFU/g = colony-forming units per gram (microbial count units)
  • ppm = parts per million (varies by context; confirm on report)

FAQ

Do COAs apply to every bottle?
COAs apply to a specific lot (batch). Bottles from the same lot share the same COA.

Why do some COAs look different?
Different labs (or different test panels) may format reports differently and may list different methods or detection limits.

Can I rely on the “Pass” summary?
Use the summary as a quick overview, but refer to the COA for numeric results, units, and testing methods.

How often do you publish COAs?
We aim to publish COAs for recent lots and maintain an archive for prior lots when available.

What if my lot isn’t listed?
Reach out with your lot number and we’ll direct you to the correct report.
